AI-assisted meetings

Imagine a meeting where all participants use an AI assistant to be more productive.

For a very long time, most companies considered it rude to have an open laptop during a meeting except if you were writing meeting notes.

People should be focused on the meeting at hand.

It made sense to me until I started playing with ChatGPT in meetings.

It's not hard to imagine meetings where each attendee will have their own AI assistant up and running so it can be queried and consulted in real-time during the meeting.

Each person will pick a bot that they feel comfortable with for the specific meeting to augment them.

I actually tried doing this in some meetings - I opened an AI chatbot on my laptop and keep querying it to refresh my memory, validate hypotheses, formulate better questions/answers, improve my thinking in real-time, etc. so I can contribute to the meeting at hand in a better way.

Our memory and computing power is limited - we need this assistance.
